Coiffeur Dilek

It’s my first documentary project about a very unique coiffeur in Istanbul. Its customers are mostly travestites. “Coiffeur Dilek” is not an ordinary hairdresser for them; it’s sometimes a shelter, sometimes the last stop before diving into the colorful nights of Beyoglu. “Coiffeur Dilek” is a time machine that the highest of heels visit frequently , just down the uphill road… (2007)
